About Sataverax Granules
- Zandu Satavarex Granules is proprietary ayurvedic medicine from Zandu to improve lactation. Satavarex Ayurvedic medicine contains Shatavari, a well-known herb with galactagogue and tonic effect. Satavarex is beneficiary formulations in mothers and thus helps indirectly to children .
Origin
- Shatavari refers to the Root Powder of plant Asparagus racemosus (Satavar, Shatavari, or Shatamuli) and used in treatment of female reproductive system related problems, improving fertility and weakness. Shatavari literally means who possesses a hundred of husbands or acceptable to many. Shatavari is considered Queen of herbs and is the primary herb recommended for female health.
- The roots are dried after harvesting and may be boiled, peeled and cut into pieces. The dried roots are then ground to make a powder (Shatavri Churna) which is used alone or with other ingredients. Shatavar contains saponins, steroidal glycosides and aglycones, flavonoids including quercetin, rutin and hyperoside, alkaloids and mucilage.
Indications
shatavari medicine is indicated in Inadequate lactation. Inadequate lactation is the production of less milk than is needed for breastfeeding a child.

Zandu Satavarex Dosage
- The recommended dosage of medicine is 1-2 tablespoonful.
- It should be taken twice a day, in the morning and evening.
- It is to be taken with milk.

Precautions
- It is completely safe to take this medicine in recommended doses.
- Keep away from the sight and reach of children.
- Do not overdose.
- Don’t take in case of acute lung congestion, high kapha, low digestive fire, high ama.
- It may increase weight when taken for longer duration.
